Purpose: Classify each critical moment by gap type — memory failure, judgment call, or novel situation. The gap type determines the support intervention. A memory failure needs a retrieval cue. A judgment call needs a decision framework. A novel situation may need training.
Gap Type Reference
Memory failure → Retrieval cue or brief reference. The support triggers recall — it does not re-teach. Judgment call → Decision framework, branching guide, scenario-based reference. The support aids evaluation and decision-making. Novel situation → Escalation guide, expert referral, structured handling protocol. Training may also be indicated.
