Tool 1: Entity Definition Register

Knowledge Graph Architecture Framework · Phase 1 — Entity Definition
KGAF™ v1.0
Tool 1 of 7  ·  Phase 1 — Entity Definition
Purpose: Define every node type in the graph — its scope, exclusion criterion, required attributes, and owner. Entity boundaries must be explicit and defensible before any data is added. An entity without an exclusion criterion creates boundary ambiguity that corrupts traversal results.

Entity definition checklist: Every entity type needs: (1) a definition that includes a real example, (2) a scope boundary (what it includes), (3) an exclusion criterion (what it explicitly excludes), (4) required attributes, and (5) a named owner who approves new node creation.
